Camping ~ Notes!
Here are some updates and reminders that may make your visit to the Black Oak Ranch more comfortable and fulfilling.
- You can arrive as early as Thursday (15th) noon till dark time. This early arrival will be temporarily staged in the field adjacent to the entrance. Full campground areas open at 8 am Friday (16th).
- There are tanks of potable water available. We recommend you supplement this with higher quality drinking water from home.
- If you are going to share in our meals, bring your eating ware. There is a place to clean them after.
- To help keep cool, wet bandanas, scarfs or other articles of clothing. The creek on the west side of the area has two access spots. The upstream one has the most depth. There is no lifeguard service. Adults are required to accompany children. Some adults may also need supervision.
- Bring night lights (flashlight) and use them to see where you’re going. Do not put your body where you can’t see and stay on paths and roadways (do not wander through the bushes).
- Coffee and tea water, with the basic additives, are provided in the food service area. You can supplement this with your own preferred tea and additives.
- There will be four supplemental food vendors offering non-alcoholic beverages, baked goods, dried meat & nuts, frozen juice pops and nightly popcorn. As there is no credit card service, bring cash for payment.
- In the Arena (stage/audience area), you can supplement the provided shade with pop-ups, umbrellas, etc., where there is open space. There are no restrictions about bringing your own beverages, including alcohol, into that area. Baskets, backpacks and coolers are welcome.
- Kids of all ages are welcome; dogs, and other pets, cannot be admitted (ADA approved are okay with proper id.).
